Burghouwt, door and window hardware, tools and ventilation technology

An independent technical wholesaler from Arnhem: a family business with three specialized sales departments, nine branches and around 195 employees.
One general mailing for three completely different audiences, and a joinery works is not a contractor and not a ventilation installer. Contact details were spread across systems and lists, and customers had nowhere to say themselves what they did and did not want to be emailed about.
The setup
All contacts are managed centrally in Xendy, with newsletters per segment and customer type. New customers get an onboarding. Through the Magento 2 integration, customers set their own preferences in the "Mijn Burghouwt" environment, and with topics they choose what they want to read more about. The newsletter follows that choice.
All contacts are managed centrally in Xendy.
Preferences and topics are kept in Mijn Burghouwt, and the newsletter adjusts by itself.
Every new account automatically gets an onboarding series.
Worth knowing.
"The preferences in Mijn Burghouwt and the newsletter had to be lined up properly once, and since then it keeps itself up to date."

“In Mijn Burghouwt, customers set their own preferences, and the newsletter follows.”
"Eight entities, six languages, one template."
"The segments fill themselves and every email starts with a first name."
