Comedyhuis Utrecht, weekly shows and their own club in the heart of Utrecht

A comedy organization since 2009 with around twenty comedians, weekly shows, a monthly Comedy Cloud at TivoliVredenburg and, recently, their own club in the heart of Utrecht.
One listings email for everything: Dutch cabaret lovers got English open mics, expats got Dutch-language try-outs. And opening their own club called for campaign muscle that simply was not there by hand.
The setup
Segments on language preference (NL/EN, derived from click behavior and sign-up source) and on interest: open mic, specials, courses. Automations: a weekly listings email per segment, a last-tickets nudge, a follow-up email after an attended show with the next recommendation, and a course-interest series. Plus a campaign series around the club opening.
Because NL and EN are separated, every email hits home.
Last-tickets emails do the work on the night itself.
The club opening ran on their own audience, not on advertising.
Worth knowing.
"The listings email goes out automatically on Thursday, the moment people plan their weekend and we are on stage ourselves."

“English shows to the English audience, and since then everyone clicks more.”
"We can see which shows our audience really wants."
"Bringing former players back with a newsletter is far cheaper than advertising."
